Colts can sign Mike Williams

Unlike many of the other receivers on the list, Mike Williams isn’t coming off an injury or a down year. Instead, he is coming off the best season of is career.

In his fifth season with the Los Angeles Chargers, Williams caught 76 passes for 1,146 yards and nine touchdowns.

Williams has been apart of an incredible duo with Keenan Allen and they now have the talented Justin Herbert throwing them the ball. It’s fair to assume that the Chargers will do everything possible to keep Williams in Los Angeles.

If year’s past has taught us anything, it’s that you have to expect the unexpected in free agency. So although it seems like there’s no reason for Williams to leave, the Colts should try their hardest to keep him from re-signing to L.A.

Williams could come to Indianapolis and be the No. 1 receiver, creating a duo with Pittman. He’s a big target that could contribute in a number of ways for Indy and would allow the Colts to have two dangerous receivers on the outside while defenses still have to focus on the run.

Williams and the rest of these receivers are just some of the options that the Colts have. There are receivers who may be trade candidates and also several talented prospects in the draft. If Indy returns next season without landing at least one, it would be an unsuccessful offseason.
