5 quality receivers Colts can sign if TY Hilton retires
Colts can sign Chris Godwin
Many Colts fans have had their eyes on Chris Godwin for a few years, anticipating the offseason he entered free agency. When it appeared as if last year would be the year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise tagged him.
Unfortunately, Godwin tore his ACL in Week 15 of this season and will be recovering as he enters free agency this offseason. With ACL recovery improving by the year, Godwin should still have a sizable market.
With Tampa Bay’s loaded roster, it will be tough for Godwin to remain with the Bucs and also get a contract he deserves. Additionally, the retirement of Tom Brady may encourage Godwin to find a new home.

In comes Indianapolis. After being injured while playing on the franchise tag, Godwin will likely seek a big multi-year deal. His projected contract is four years, for $17.5 million annually.
That’s a deal the Colts should love. Not only can they afford it, but it adds an elite receiver to a talented roster for nearly the next half-decade.
Adding a player like Godwin would drastically improve the Colts’ offense and will strengthen the team’s chances as a real contender for years to come.
