EDGE Myjai Sanders, Cincinnati

You want someone that’s going to open up the pass rush and get sacks for Indianapolis, Myjai Sanders is your guy. The two-time 1st team All-AAC edge rusher would be a great fit opposite to Paye.

Sanders was also recently selected for the Senior Bowl to really showcase his talents in front of scouts.

He is fluid coming off the line getting to quarterbacks at ease in just a few steps. Even without getting the sack, that kind of pressure is forcing the ball out of the quarterback’s hands. If the Colts are able to put pressure and lock down the receivers, this heavily affects the passing game.

Myjai has a lot of athletic ability and defensive upside to him. He can be versatile on the defensive line, allowing him to line up on both sides. Don’t let his sack numbers fool you, he is an incredible athlete with a high football IQ.

With incredible physicality, you can win games right away with this edge rusher. The only issue that many Colts fans will see is that his raw talents in the pass rush will take a year or two to develop.

If Sanders was coming from a Power 5 conference, he’d likely be a high second-round selection, but since he is not, he will be available around the 47th pick.
