With the Indianapolis Colts season now over, some players will soon be free agents and are likely to move on.

The Indianapolis Colts season came to a much earlier conclusion than many expected. After emerging as one of the hottest teams in the middle of the season, Indy stumbled to the finish line and ultimately missed out on the postseason.

Now, instead of playoffs, Indianapolis must turn its attention to off-season plans. The Colts will have a list of decisions to make on who to bring in and who to let go.

There are several players on Indy’s roster who are set to be free agents. While Indianapolis will do its best to bring some of them back, there are a few who won’t be playing in Indy next season. Here are 5 players that are unlikely to return to the Colts next season.

Eric Fisher won’t return for Colts in 2022

Eric Fisher was signed to a one-year deal during last year’s free agency and started this season at left tackle. After starting 15 games, it’s safe to assume that Fisher won’t be suiting up for Indy next year.

Fisher was Indianapolis’ best option at left tackle and he was rather inconsistent all season. Fisher was good in the running game, and assisted to the Colts powerful attack, but he routinely struggled in pass protection.

Left tackle is an extremely important position to many offensive game plans. With Fisher being 31 and a year removed from an Achilles injury, Indy shouldn’t have many hesitations moving on.

Considering that Fisher did start, Indy will be tasked with finding a replacement for Fisher. However, there will be quality tackles in the draft and free agency that Indianapolis can make a run at.
