Dan Orlovsky was ridiculed for his belief in the Indianapolis Colts earlier in the season.

Coming into the season, not many would have predicted the Indianapolis Colts’ success. Even fewer believed in them after they started 1-4, but there were still some who knew what they were capable of.

The majority of those people were in Indianapolis and were committed fans. On the National scale, the masses had already written off the Colts. From analyst to non-Indy fans, Indianapolis was an afterthought.

There was one big-time analyst who was willing to go to bat for Indianapolis, Dan Orlovsky. The former quarterback, who now works for ESPN, boldly predicted that Indy would be a dark horse contender.

Orlovsky made this prediction on October 19, when the Colts were just 2-4, and he was immediately ridiculed. His fellow NFL Live hosts laughed at him and walked off the set in disappointment.

Dan Orlovsky accurately predicted the Colts season in October

At the end of the clip, Orlovsky can be heard saying “save this clip for December.” Now that December has concluded, Indianapolis is 9-6 and has a chance to clinch a playoff spot in a Week 17 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Since the point of Orlovsky being ridiculed for his spot-on prediction, the Colts have won seven of nine games with impressive wins over Buffalo, New England, and Arizona. They also boast a top-five scoring offense behind MVP candidate Jonathan Taylor.

Indy also has continued to make the media look bad for picking against them. In back-to-back primetime matchups against the Patriots and the Cardinals, the majority of the TV experts predicted the Colts would lose both games.

All Indianapolis does is continue to prove the masses wrong and prove Dan Orlovsky right. Indy is one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now and has at worst a 50/50 chance against any team in the league, so everyone who thought Orlovsky was a madman for this Colts take owes him an apology.
