The Indianapolis Colts continue to rise in the latest round of Power Rankings.

No matter what team has been placed in front of the Indianapolis Colts, it’s been no stopping their momentum. Indy just defeated two of the NFL’s top teams in the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals.

Indianapolis won against Arizona despite missing Darius Leonard and the majority of its starting offensive line. That shows that this is a team with depth that knows how to overcome adversity.

Now, Indy will have the opportunity to punch its ticket to the postseason and make a playoff run. To do that, they must defeat the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders are 8-7 and also have their sights set on the playoffs. The winner of this game will be one step closer to making the tournament reserved for the best teams in the NFL.

Where the Colts rank across expert Power Rankings

With every win, Indianapolis gains more and more respect throughout the league. Indy has gradually improved every week in power rankings and heading into the penultimate week of the regular season, the Colts have an average power ranking of 6.8, a little over a two-spot jump from last week’s average of 9.

ESPN moved Indy up four spots to No. 6 and praised Jonathan Taylor, calling him a “legitimate league MVP contender.”

The official NFL site bumped the Colts up one spot to No. 5 and argued that Carson Wentz proved in Week 16 that he’s still a quality quarterback, making Indianapolis the most dangerous team in football.

CBS Sports moved Indianapolis up three spots from 12 to No. 9. Their experts gave a shoutout to Frank Reich for coaching this team through various challenges.

FanSided ranked Indy at No. 8, four spots higher than last week, and commended the defense in addition to Taylor and Reich.

The Ringer kept the Colts at No. 6 and grouped them with the “Top Shelf” teams of the league.

Colts’ Super Bowl odds entering Week 17

The odds at WynnBET have Indy at +1750 to be crowned Super Bowl champions. That’s good for eighth-best in the league, one spot better than last week.

Of the seven teams ahead of the Colts, three are AFC franchises, two of which Indianapolis has already beaten. That should be proof that Indy is a serious threat to not only make the postseason but have a serious run at winning it all.

That all starts Sunday where the Colts can clinch their spot in the tournament with a win over Las Vegas.
