The Indianapolis Colts have a special defender in Kenny Moore and the tape proves it.

Kenny Moore has been balling for the Indianapolis Colts defense all season and is continuing to make waves as a star in the NFL. The fifth-year slot cornerback is having a breakout season and doing everything possible to make his first Pro Bowl.

The most important thing he can do is play well, and Moore has done plenty of that. Through the Colts’ 14 games, Kenny Moore has four interceptions, 13 pass deflections, one forced fumble, 83 tackles, and five for a loss.

He has impacted every way imaginable for the Indianapolis defense but still has been relatively underrated. This has led to Moore frequently pleading with fans on Twitter to help vote him into his first Pro Bowl.

Following Saturday’s primetime matchup against the New England Patriots, Moore received some help in his quest for recognition. Former NFL lineman, current NFL Network analyst, Brian Baldinger, did one of his signature “Baldy’s Breakdowns” for Moore’s game against New England.

Patriots game demonstrates versatility of Kenny Moore

In Baldy’s breakdown, he vehemently argues that Moore is a Pro Bowler and there shouldn’t be any doubt about it. He then goes on to display the versatility that Moore offers by showing how he excelled in various situations in one game alone.

Moore was captured covering a larger tight end and tackling in space, coming downhill and playing behind the line of scrimmage, covering a speedy receiver on the outside, and also covering a possession receiver on the inside. He did all those things effectively, and that’s just from one game.

As special as it is, that’s the norm for Moore. Every week the Colts are able to move him all around the defense and ask him to handle a number of responsibilities, he does all of them well. Because of this versatility, Moore isn’t just one of the best defensive backs in the NFL, he’s one of the best overall defenders.

That’s why fans who pay attention to Colts’ football find it ridiculous that it’s a question of whether Kenny Moore will make the Pro Bowl or not. The stats and the film both make it obvious that he should be selected, but things don’t always play out how they’re supposed to.

Everyone will find out whether Moore was snubbed or not on Wednesday, December 22, when the full Pro Bowl rosters are announced.
