The Indianapolis Colts will need to put together a great game to beat the streaking New England Patriots.

Entering Week 15, the Indianapolis Colts are in playoff positioning for the first time this year. The 7-6 team moved to the sixth seed while they were on their bye week thanks to some favorable outcomes.

Indy now must continue to win to make sure it holds on to a playoff spot for the next four weeks, but it will be a tall task considering the Colts’ schedule. The first two teams Indianapolis has to play are teams with two of the best records in the NFL.

The first team is the New England Patriots, who Indianapolis will play on Saturday night. New England also is coming off a bye and they will put their seven-game winning streak on the line against Indy.

For Indianapolis to be the first team to win against the Patriots since Week 6, they will have to play a great game. New England isn’t unbeatable, but they don’t often give games away. Here are 3 things Indy must do to snap the Patriots’ winning streak.

3. Colts must force turnovers

Forcing turnovers is something the Indianapolis defense has been doing all season and they must continue it on Saturday. Through 13 games, Indy has the most takeaways in the NFL with 29, 15 interceptions, and 14 fumble recoveries.

They will be facing a rookie quarterback on Saturday, and despite how good he’s been playing all year, he’s still susceptible to making young mistakes. On the season, Mac Jones has eight interceptions.

Additionally, New England strives to play a brand of mistake-free football. While that is every team’s goal, the Patriots game plan typically revolves around protecting the ball and leaves them with very little margin for error.

Because of that, when they have turnovers it drastically compromises their chances of winning. In each of New England’s four losses, they have at least two turnovers.

Indianapolis must do what they’ve done all season and take the ball away from the Patriots to improve its chances of winning.
