Indianapolis Colts guard Quenton Nelson receives praise from a Patriots defender that he’ll face on Sunday.

The Indianapolis Colts have one of the top offenses in the NFL, averaging 28.5 points a game, good for third-highest in the league. A big reason for that is because of Jonathan Taylor and the offensive line.

Indianapolis is fortunate to have the best offensive lineman in all of football, Quenton Nelson. Nelson, a generational blocker, has even rarer star power for his position.

While there are a lot of good offensive linemen, they don’t often get the notoriety and love that Nelson does. Whether it’s clips of him yelling as he pummels defenders, or politely helping them up afterward, videos of Nelson are frequently circulated and everyone loves them.

Even the defenders that Nelson is competing against love Indy’s big man. That was revealed this week when New England Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower raved about how skilled Nelson is and how much he loves watching him.

Hightower is impressed by Nelson’s physical abilities, but he believes his IQ is really special. Also, like everyone else, Hightower loves to watch the viral videos of Nelson, so much so that he admitted to sharing them with Patriots linemen David Andrews.

It’s great that Hightower can recognize and acknowledge Nelson’s talent, but on Saturday, these two will be going to war. Hightower and New England’s No. 1 ranked scoring defense will be tasked with stopping the Indianapolis offense.

As Nelson and the Colts have demonstrated, they can run the ball on anyone. They had success against the Bills’ defense when they were the highest-rated, and also the Buccaneers when they had the best rushing defense.

In addition to running the ball, Indy has only allowed 22 sacks, which is tied for fourth-best in the NFL. Nelson has been extremely effective at preventing sacks.

The battle in the box on Saturday will be one of the intriguing games within the game. Indy loves to dominate on the ground and the Pats have several talented defenders that will look to make that tough.

Whichever unit wins this battle will play a large role in the outcome of the overall game. It would be great for the Colts if Nelson can make Hightower the next victim of the viral videos Hightower loves to watch.
