Second-best Colts moment so far: Defense forces four turnovers in Week 7

While the defense may be inconsistent in getting stops, they aren’t inconsistent in getting turnovers. Because of that, the defense’s first four-turnover game of the season is the No. 2 ranked moment on this list.

In a rainy game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7, the defense led Indianapolis to a victory with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

The turnovers in order were: a forced fumble by Darius Leonard, a sack strip by Al-Quadin Muhammad, and interceptions by Xavier Rhodes and Khari Willis.

The four turnovers in this game tie for the most Indianapolis has forced in a single game this season, and they’ve done it twice. They’ve also recorded at least one turnover in every single game this year, putting them at the top of the NFL with the most takeaways at 29.

Taking the ball away is one of the things that has made this season so special for the Colts. It’s also one of the things that contributed to the top spot on this list.
