Third-best Colts moment so far: Kenny Moore leads defensive shutout

Anytime a team does something that hasn’t been done in nearly 30 years, it has to be a huge moment. That’s exactly what the No. 3 moment on this list is.

In Week 13 against the Houston Texans, Indianapolis recorded their first road shutout since 1992. The 31-0 victory over Houston was all sparked by Kenny Moore on the very first play from scrimmage.

The Texans decided to open the game with a pass and Moore was all over it, jumping the route and catching the ball before showcasing his toe-drag swag, making sure the turnover would count.

The very next series, Moore forced a fumble and that would set the tone of dominance for the day. The Indianapolis defense was stingy all afternoon, only allowing nine first downs and a total of 141 yards.

It was great for a defense that has been having an up-and-down type of year to put on this kind of performance. Indy’s defense has been special forcing turnovers all season but they have been inconsistent at getting stops without taking the ball away.

While it’s fair to say it was just the Texans, Indy could use this game as a building block for improved defense moving forward.
