The Colts have had an eventful season in their first 13 weeks, so let’s take a look at the best moments.

While the bye week is a time for the 7-6 Indianapolis Colts to rest up, it’s also a time for fans to look back at what has already happened and to look ahead to see what needs to happen. We’ve already looked ahead to see how Indianapolis could possibly win a division championship, so now let’s take a look back.

The Colts’ season started terribly, as they opened the year with three straight losses before eventually moving to 1-4. Those first five games led to a ton of concern about the talented Indy squad.

Fortunately, they were able to turn things around, winning six of the next eight games. Now, there is a ton of optimism surrounding the team and their chances of getting into the playoffs. Let’s take a look at the five best moments of Indianapolis’ season up to this point.

Fifth-best Colts moment so far: Dayo Odeyingbo‘s game-sealing sack strip

At No. 5 on the list is Dayo Odeyingbo’s Week 10 strip-sack against the Jacksonville Jaguars that sealed a division victory for Indianapolis.

This play was huge, and not just because it secured a victory in a game that Indy should have put away earlier. It was huge because it represented the future of the Colts’ defense.

Odeyingbo was Indianapolis’ second pick in the 2021 draft and he had to wait to get on the field while healing from an Achilles injury. The game against Jacksonville was just his third and he was already making a huge impact.

The player Indy selected in the first round, before Odeyingbo, was Kwity Paye. Paye also had a sack that game, so it really served as a showcase for the young defensive talent, and that was great to see.
