The Indianapolis Colts take a step back in the latest round of Power Rankings.

The Indianapolis Colts entered Week 12 as one of the hottest teams in the NFL, but they’ve cooled down a bit after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They now enter Week 13 6-6 and look to recapture some momentum against the Houston Texans.

Indianapolis had plenty of opportunities to keep things rolling against Tampa Bay, but they fail victim to turnovers and lost a close game 38-31. The fact that they stayed in the game, despite the mistakes, says a lot about this Colts team, but close won’t get them to the playoffs.

At 500 with five games remaining, Indianapolis has to limit the mistakes and finish the season strong. If they do that, they should make the playoffs and soar in Power Rankings.

Where the Colts rank across expert Power Rankings

Last week, many experts were ready to catapult Indianapolis into the top 10 teams in the league, but the ugly loss in Week 12 has stalled that momentum. Many of the rankings still view the Colts as a quality team, but their performance against the Bucs has set them back a bit. They enter Week 13 with an average Power Ranking of 14.

In ESPN’s latest rankings, Indy is ranked 13, a three-spot fall from their top-10 spot last week. They have concerns about the Colts’ performance against teams with winning records.

On the NFL site, they dropped Indianapolis one spot to No. 13. They feel they had the chance to have another huge statement win but fumbled the opportunity both literally and metaphorically.

CBS Sports dropped the Colts an entire six spots down to 16. Despite the harsh fall, they were impressed with Carson Wentz’s Week 12 performance.

FanSided only moved Indy back two spots to No. 14 and argues that they should have pulled the game out against Tampa Bay.

The Ringer also dropped Indianapolis two spots, landing them at 11 for this week.

Colts’ Super Bowl odds entering Week 13

Just like their Power Rankings, Indianapolis’ Super Bowl odds have regressed heading into Week 13. They now have +4000 odds to win the Super Bowl which is 14th best in the NFL. That’s two spots behind where they were last week.

A loss this week to the Houston Texans would certainly lessen their odds even more. Houston is a 2-9 team and the Indianapolis is favorited to win.

Everything the Colts want to accomplish is in front of them but it all starts with beating the Texans in Week 13.
