2. Darius Leonard can make Tom Brady’s life miserable in Colts vs. Buccaneers
In Tampa Bay’s last three games, Brady has thrown five interceptions, an uncharacteristic trait for the quarterback. Some have been Brady’s fault and some haven’t, but that doesn’t matter when it impacts the game.
Unfortunately for the Buccaneers, they are going against the best turnover-generating defense in the NFL. Through 11 games, the Colts have recorded 25 takeaways, in the form of 13 interceptions and 12 fumbles.
The man who leads the charge is linebacker Darius Leonard; he has two interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries on the season.
Brady loves to attack the middle of the field and also utilizes a lot of quick game— those tendencies will lead him right to Leonard. With the Buccaneers’ propensity to turn the ball over in recent weeks, and Leonard’s ability to force turnovers, this can be the perfect storm for the Colts.
If Brady isn’t super careful with the ball around Leonard, it will be a long game, because Maniac will make them pay.
