The Indianapolis Colts have quietly built one of the best offenses in the game over the last few months, as they have put themselves back in the postseason picture after winning five of their last seven games. One of the main reasons that they’ve been able to accomplish this is running back Jonathan Taylor.
With Derrick Henry recovering from an injury, Taylor is now the favorite to take home the NFL’s rushing title this season. Taylor, who has 937 rushing yards through 10 games, has helped the Colts win all five games in which he has rushed for over 100 yards.
Taylor will face one of the best defenses in the league during Indianapolis’ tussle with the Buffalo Bills. While a unit that has allowed just six passing touchdowns all year long and is currently positioned as an AFC favorite might seem tough to take down, Buffalo safety Jordan Poyer sounds a bit nervous when it comes to facing Taylor.
Poyer was quoted as saying that Taylor is “probably the hardest runner we’ve seen all season.” Keep in mind, this team played Henry and the Titans earlier in the year. Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that the Indianapolis rushing attack led by Taylor is “tops in the NFL.”

The Indianapolis Colts will lean on Jonathan Taylor.
As efficient and promising as Carson Wentz has been this season, Taylor has been the engine that makes this offense go. Taylor is currently leading the NFL in rushing yards and yards from scrimmage, showing his growth as a runner and receiver. Indy will need nothing short of a masterclass in this game.
The Bills have the best scoring defense in the league and are at the very top of the league in point differential. While Buffalo has had an easy schedule, that is no reason for Indianapolis to overlook them, as doing so could help the Colts get flattened like the Jets were last week. Just trust in Taylor and they should be in the game.

2. Patriots (17.7 ppg)
Point differential:

T3. Patriots (+9.8)
NE visits Buffalo on Monday night in Week 13, then hosts the Bills in Week 16. They're separated by just a 1/2 game in the AFC East.
Taylor is not only a bell cow running back in a league that is producing fewer of those players with each passing season, but he’s someone that changes the entire dynamic of the offense and strikes fear right into the hearts of defensive players. Even a team like Buffalo is giving him a wide berth.
Reich might be a former quarterback that loves to pass the ball, but he needs to be pragmatic and get Taylor the ball as often as he can. The Bills are beatable, as the Jaguars proved, and Taylor needs to help them accomplish that goal.
