The Indianapolis Colts already face a must-win game in their Week 6 matchup against Davis Mills and the Houston Texans, and a loss to a rebuilding rival would send Indy to 1-5 and essentially bar them from the postseason one year after sneaking into the playoffs as a Wild Card team.

The Colts are favored to take home the victory in this game, as Houston has lost four straight games and is starting a rookie quarterback. However, considering that Mills played exceptionally well against the Patriots, they shouldn’t be taken lightly as an opponent in this game.

Indianapolis, meanwhile, is coming off of one of the most heartbreaking primetime losses you’ll ever see when Lamar Jackson and the Ravens eviscerated their secondary and pulled out an overtime win.

Will the Colts end up getting back on the right track against Houston? No matter what the result is, these three bets may have a good chance of cashing given where both teams are at right now.

3 best prop bets for Colts vs Ravens Week 5

3. Jonathan Taylor first TD (+350)

Taylor finally had that breakout game against the Ravens, finding the end zone twice and totaling 169 yards. This week, he has a perfect opportunity to keep the momentum going, as he is facing one of the worst run defenses in the entire league in Houston.

The Texans are 26th in the league in rushing yards allowed and are tied with the Chiefs and Jaguars for most rushing touchdowns surrendered with nine. Look for Frank Reich to get Taylor established early and often in this game to take advantage of Lovie Smith’s defense in that area.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor will face a weak defense.

The Colts have tried to bizarrely take touches away from Taylor this season, using Nyheim Hines as a pass-catching back and Marlon Mack because…reasons. The Baltimore game proved that the best version of this offense involves Taylor touching the ball as much as possible.

The Texans are not going to win many defensive battles, but they’ve proven to be at least average when it comes to pass defense. While Smith has them playing well in that regard, they have been getting gashed on the ground, and Taylor should be able to benefit from that.
