The Indianapolis Colts lost a thriller in the most heartbreaking fashion on Monday Night, as a career night from Jonathan Taylor and the first 400-yard passing day of Carson Wentz’s career were not enough to take down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in Baltimore. Blowing leads of 22-3 and 25-9 didn’t help either.

Frank Reich’s team, now 1-4 and likely at risk of giving the Eagles their first-round draft pick, don’t have a ton of time to go lick their wounds with a game against Davis Mills and the division-rival Houston Texans on the schedule.

While Mills looked like an automatic win after having one of the worst games a quarterback will ever have against Buffalo, he completely dominated against a Bill Belichick defense, meaning a suspect Matt Eberflus defense fresh off getting lambasted by is at risk.

Will the Colts come out with the victory and keep their AFC South hopes alive? Or will a postseason team from last year end up at 1-5 after losing a home game against a disappointing Houston team?

Colts vs Texans Prediction Week 6

The Colts, on paper, should have no trouble beating the Texans, even with their offensive line in tatters. Unfortunately, easy victories have been very hard to come by for this team, and they can’t take any advantage as a given after Monday night.

Still, it’s unlikely that Mills plays that well for a second consecutive week. Expect the Colts to force a turnover or two while Taylor and Wentz attack a suspect defense and help Indy get back on the right track.

While the more difficult parts of their schedule may be over, Indianapolis needs to start picking up some wins if they want to keep whatever minuscule chances of a playoff birth they have alive.
