The Indianapolis Colts are currently leaking coolant after a very slow 0-3 start to the season. Poor offensive line play, injuries all over the shop, a lack of balance, and poor secondary play are all contributing factors in this mess.

The Colts will get a chance to right themselves against Jacoby Brissett and the Miami Dolphins. Not only is Brian Flores a Damien Harris fumble away from being 0-3, but an injury to Tua Tagovailoa means that Miami will have to win with their backup against a desperate Colts team.

The Dolphins are not to be taken lightly, however, as they went on the road and took an undefeated Raiders team to overtime, with Brissett making some big throws. 0-4 is a very real possibility for this team.

No matter what the record is for Indy, the betting landscape could always be challenging to navigate. Based on how these teams have been trending, these three bets might be solid wagers to take.

3 best prop bets for Indianapolis Colts vs Miami Dolphins

3. Jonathan Taylor over 71.5 rush yards (-115)

The Colts have decided that they are going to be a pass-first team and live on Carson Wentz’s arm. That’s all well and good, but they have neglected to use one of the best young backs in the game in Taylor. He has just 50 touches through three games, which is not an acceptable number.

With Wentz hobbled a bit and Michael Pittman Jr. ready to draw either Xavien Howard or Byron Jones, Indy must lean on the running game. Miami came into this game ranked 27th in run defense, and this could be the perfect opportunity for him to break out. Hammer the over on his rushing yard total.

The Indianapolis Colts should lean on Jonathan Taylor

While the lack of volume has been concerning, Frank Reich is not a dope, and he’ll realize that a more balanced offensive attack should be exactly what this team needs as they try to claw back into the AFC South race. The loss of players like Davon Godchaux is clearly wearing on this Miami defense.

When he’s been given carries, Taylor looks just as nasty as he did last year. The Dolphins’ defense is due for a breakout performance, but if Taylor is toting the rock, they may have to postpone that breakout until next week.
