The Indianapolis Colts may not have had the most aesthetically pleasing preseason, but they’ve walked away with two victories against the Panthers and Vikings thanks to the combined efforts of Jacob Eason, Sam Ehlinger, and a motivated defense.

The Colts will try to make it three preseason wins in a row when they take on Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions in their final of three exhibitions. Expect to see plenty of Eason and Ehlinger.

While Carson Wentz appears to have returned to practice and is on track to return in Week 1, don’t expect No. 2 to see the field against Detroit. This game will be a showcase for layers trying to fill out the back end of the roster. Will that be enough to give Indy another win?

Frank Reich and the squad have a very tough schedule to start off the season, so making sure that their 53-man roster is as good as it can be from top to bottom is of the utmost importance.

Colts vs Lions Odds Week 3 Preseason

The folks at WynnBet seem to think that Indianapolis will be victorious and cap off an undefeated preseason. Indy is a -185 (bet $185 to win $100) favorite to take home the win on the money line. Indianapolis is a -3.5 favorite against the spread.

The over-under is 33. You can bet the over at -105 (bet $105 to win $100), and the under at -115 (bet $115 to win $100).

Colts vs Lions Prediction Week 3 Preseason

Projecting the last game of the preseason is a very tough exercise considering that most teams will not play any of their starters, but Indy should still be considered a favorite considering that they are a much deeper team than Detroit.

Indianapolis’ quarterbacks didn’t look amazing against the Vikings, but they should be able to bounce back against the Lions. Perhaps we’ll finally see who will earn the backup quarterback job in this contest.

Colts Next Game & Schedule

After this game, Indy will get ready for their Week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at home. The schedule doesn’t get easier from there, as they will welcome the Los Angeles Rams to Lucas Oil Stadium before playing the rival Tennessee Titans on the road.
