Indianapolis is in a bind at left tackle as Eric Fisher works his way back from Achilles surgery. Per reports out of camp, the Colts’ backup options — specifically Sam Tevi and Will Holden — haven’t held up their end of the bargain.

In light of that, Julie’n Davenport got the start at left tackle on Sunday. However, with Davenport still getting up to speed after he started camp on the COVID list, Holden wound up playing most of the snaps of any offensive linemen.

Will Holden likely blew his chance to start at LT for the Colts.

It was an afternoon to forget for Holden, who proved to be no match for the Panthers’ pass rush — which is nothing to write home about to begin with, by the way.

On top of getting flagged for a false start, Holden was largely responsible for the Eason strip-sack in the first quarter after he was beat around the edge.

Though Tevi has underperformed at camp, the Colts might be forced to choose between him and Davenport for the LT spot after Holden’s nightmare debut.
