2. OT Eric Fisher

Fisher was a rock-solid, Pro Bowl-level player during his time with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, despite the fact that he helped the Chiefs reached two championships in consecutive seasons, the Colts cut Fisher after a torn Achilles. The Colts gave him a short contract in order to see if he has the potential to bounce back.

Fisher likely won’t be ready until the second half of the season, as a combination of Sam Tevi and Julie’n Davenport will hold down the fort until Fisher comes back. The injury is devastating, but Fisher could hop right back in and play like his old self.

Can Eric Fisher recover from his injury for the Colts?

Fisher is recovering from one of the worst injuries that an offensive lineman can suffer, but considering how he was a consistent Pro Bowl player and someone that can anchor the offensive line for a deep team like Kansas City, even 70% of Fisher is better than a good chunk of left tackles in this league.

He’s only on a one-year deal, but he could turn things around if he starts to perform with the same explosive ability off the snap that he had with the Chiefs. Fisher and Braden Smith as the two bookends would be one of the most lethal combinations of tackles that exist in the entire conference.
