3. “Parris Campbell Will Step Up”

This has been covered to death, but it is still worthy of analysis because of the huge leap that the franchise is expecting Parris Campbell to make this year. Campbell has barely been on the field with Indianapolis, as he has struggled mightily with injuries.

When healthy, the wideout was a game-changer at Ohio State, as his pure speed made it almost impossible for defenses to go into a game without a very specific plan of how to attack him. In the pros, Campbell has struggled with health, and he hasn’t exactly been Marvin Harrison when he has been available.

Parris Campbell needs to show the Colts what he’s made of.

Campbell has some competition behind him, as promising undrafted free agents like Tarik Black and Tyler Vaughns, in addition to seventh-rounder Mike Strachan, could easily end up taking snaps away. If they sign a veteran slot receiver, Campbell’s time as a starter might be as good as done.

Reich’s offense would benefit immensely from a player with his skill set, as neither Indianapolis nor Philly had a pure burner with this level of speed and playmaking ability. While he could be an invaluable asset to this team, there are several hurdles he has to show the team he can overcome.
