You don’t need me to tell you this, but I think the Rams might be on to something with this Donald cat. The bets interior pass rusher since John Randle, and perhaps even starting to exceed Randle, Donald has won Defensive Player of the Year in three of the last four seasons on the back of explosion and raw brutality.

Donald might be directly matched up with Nelson given where he traditionally aligns. This is as textbook a case you’ll see within the context of football of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object.

The Colts must beware of Aaron Donald.

The Colts will have to design their whole gameplan around neutralizing Donald. Might that mean trying to go run-heavy to take away his pass-rush skill? Perhaps getting the ball out at an Air Raid level speed to make sure he doesn’t have the time to get home?

The Colts had enough issues to deal with trying to contain Matthew Stafford and a new-look Rams offense that replaced Josh Reynolds with Tutu Atwell, and the Donald/Jalen Ramsey dynamic duo will only make it even tougher for the Colts to knock off the Super Bowl contenders.
