2. Colts Deal Buccaneers First Loss of Season

The quest for 20-0 ends at Lucas Oil Stadium!

And Dayo Odeyingbo will probably be back in time to witness it!

We know the Buccaneers struggled to find the proper gear last year throughout the dull parts of the early regular season, but it’s likely that a Super Bowl galvanized them as much as necessary. Additionally…what else is left for Tom Brady to accomplish other than acquiring that elusive perfect season? After all, he’s made it perfectly clear in recent weeks that he regrets not capturing Super Bowl XLII against the Giants, declaring he would theoretically trade two other rings to have that one.

Must be nice.

All of this is to say…who, in the early going, is beating Tom Brady’s Bucs? The New England Patriots at home? We suspect Brady and Gronk will have a bitter pill for Bill Belichick. The Rams in LA? The Washington Football Team? Sure, TB12 could drop any game at any time, but we don’t foresee any of these teams giving him as much of a fight as Indy will when he comes to town for his 11th game of the season on a Sunday afternoon.

Come on. Can’t you see the montages now? A Colts team scrapping and clawing for AFC South supremacy? The Manning-Brady rivalry renewed, with one participant shouting from the stands and haunting the proceedings? This game deserves to be flexed — and it things unfold the way we expect, it just might be — but as of now, we predict an historic afternoon in Indianapolis that sends the Bucs into a downward spiral.

They’ll lose another game late and finish 14-2. Sad.
