2. Week 6 vs Houston

The Colts finished 2-0 against Houston last season, but anybody who watched those fixtures knows it could’ve easily been flipped the other way.

While the Texans are currently the laughingstock of the league, they managed to convince a slew of free agents to sign with them this offseason. That isn’t to say they’ll be in the playoffs, but they could absolutely play spoiler against contenders if Deshaun Watson is under center.

That’s obviously a huge if given his legal troubles, but Watson proved last season that he’s a top five player at the position and can overcome the Texans’ myriad roster deficiencies. Through no fault of their own, the Colts had zero answers for the superstar quarterback last season.

The Colts better not overlook the Texans in Week 6.

Watson is simply that good and he’d be more than capable of upsetting a complacent Colts team, who (as previously mentioned) will be coming off five straight games against potential playoff contenders by the time they square up against Houston for the first time in 2021.

Though their inclusion on this list is highly contingent on Watson playing, Indianapolis’ Week 6 matchup vs the Texans has all the makings of a trap game that could derail their season. For the Colts’ sake, let’s hope that either one of Tyrod Taylor or 2021 third-rounder Davis Mills is lined up under center for Houston in that one.
