No. 2: The Buffalo Bills eye a defensive starter

The Bills have their offense figured out, as Josh Allen, Brian Daboll, and Stefon Diggs gave Buffalo one of the best passing games in the entire league last year. The defense, led by cornerback Tre’Davious White and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, was again well above-average, but there was a short decline from the 2019 season.

The Bills have shown that they are willing to solve their problems with aggression, as evidenced by the Diggs trade that ate up a ton of Buffalo’s future draft picks. If Brandon Beane and that front office has a defensive starter in mind that they think Indianapolis could be in on, a trade-up might very well come to fruition.

The Colts could take advantage of an aggressive Buffalo team on NFL Draft Day.

Cornerbacks like Greg Newsome and Eric Stokes could be in play for Buffalo, as could edge rushers like Jaelan Phillips, Jayson Oweh, and Azeez Ojulari. Indianapolis could get a solid collection of picks if they move down to No. 30 in the order to sate the ravenous desires of Buffalo.

The Colts might find it hard to help out the team that beat them in the postseason last year, but if Indy is only concerned about what is best for the team long-term, they should consider this move if they want to quickly restock.
