Colts pass rusher target No. 2: Ryan Kerrigan

While he had a very messy end to his 10-year tenure in Waashington, Kerrigan left behind a legacy as one of the most underrated pass rushers of the last decade, as evidenced by the 95.5 career sacks he has amassed. He proved last year he can still rush the passer, even as a backup behind Chase Young and Montez Sweat.

Kerrigan, unlike most stud pass rushers nowadays, is perfectly situated to the 4-3 defensive end role, as his sharp run defense hasn’t eroded with age. A complete player that could make the Colts lethal on that side of the ball, the former Purdue star should be on a flight to Indy right now.

Can Ryan Kerrigan turn back the clock with the Colts?

Kerrian isn’t going to challenge for double-digit sacks anymore. He just isn’t that type of player. What he can do, however, is pressure the quarterback at an above-average rate, stop the run, and mentor a young group of pass rushers in Indianapolis.

Kerrigan is clearly in the mood to chase a championship, as the main reason he decided to leave Washington was the fact that they were not built to win a title now and his reduced role. He can clearly scratch both those itches if he ends up in Indianapolis.
