2. S Roderic Teamer

Forget about just making the 53-man roster — it’s possible Teamer gets a couple of starts with the Colts in 2021. After all, he started six during his rookie season with the Los Angeles Chargers.

While Teamer recorded 40 tackles and an interception in his first seven games, he was suspended for the first four games of the 2020 season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. He was waived soon after, meaning that the Colts could be a jumping-off point from which he could restart his career.

How could Roderic Teamer help the Colts?

The former Tulane star can scream off of the edge as a blitzer, and his tremendous ability to cover ground in zone could allow Matt Eberflus to leave him as the single-high safety in a defense that runs an awful lot of Cover 1 schemes.

Teamer had a golden opportunity to be a part of a Gus Bradley defense that would kill for young safeties with his skillset. Unfortunately, Teamer blew his chance to stick around in Los Angeles. If he’s learned his lesson and keeps his head on straight, he could be a star in Indianapolis if given the time.
