If you’ve got glasses, you too can dress up like the Georgia Bulldogs version of Colts kicker Rodrigo Blankenship!
Colts kicker Rodrigo Blankenship has had a fantastic debut season in Indianapolis, on pace to approach rookie points-scoring records over the first six weeks of his tenure. We miss and love Adam Vinatieri very much, but there certainly seems to be a new icon in town.
So how are Colts fans supposed to properly show their appreciation for the bespectacled, lego-stacking, calm-cool-and-collected Blankenship, considering the stadium’s not at full capacity? Well, it’s the tail end of October. How about a Halloween costume?!
We got our first sighting of such a thing on Friday morning, and it certainly lived up to expectations, hopefully inspiring this city’s younger generation to pull their outfits together.
And, yes — it’s an adult man!
Yes, that’s Andrew Perloff aka “McLovin” of the Dan Patrick Show, failing to let the pandemic dampen his holiday spirit, and paying tribute to one of very few athletes who rocks a good bifocal.
Blankenship burst onto the scene at Georgia, and the bright red Bulldog look is still the most iconic possible costume for him. But hopefully, someday soon, he ends up on the national stage drilling kicks for a playoff-bound Colts team, and the whole world can realize that one of their fan favorites is still out here rocking it on a daily basis.
Down the stretch, the Colts are going to need Blankenship to embrace the pressure and channel his Georgia days, so maybe he’ll want to take a look at these photos, too?
Ahead of Indy in November, the dead-eyed kicker has the Ravens, Packers, Lions and Titans (twice!) in his sights.
Odds are there are about to be a lot of down-to-the-wire games on our docket, so it feels good to laugh at something as goofy as this before the pressure’s really on. Is it too much to ask to get the entire stadium suited up like this for gameday? Come on, it’s reduced capacity!
Colts: Could Jacob Eason learning from stacked QB room make him future starter?
Indianapolis Colts rookie Jacob Eason was one of the most talented quarterbacks in college but he's got a lot of work cut out for him at the NFL level.
