Jonathan Bostic has emerged as a stud for The Washington Football Team.

It’s duly noted that Darius Leonard and Anthony Walker form one of the most tenacious linebacking tandems in the NFL. However, the Colts clearly aren’t comfortable enough unleashing 2019 third-round pick Bobby Okereke just yet, as he’s playing considerably fewer snaps than his two teammates.

That’s exactly why Indy could use former linebacker Jonathan Bostic, who the franchise let walk after the 2017 campaign, in which he recorded 97 tackles and received a 63.4 grade from Pro Football Focus. By no means is that an elite marking, but it’s not like the Colts would ask him to be their No. 1 linebacker.

Rotating the 29-year-old vet, who currently has 15 tackles and two sacks this season for Washington, with Okereke as the third LB would give Indianapolis a lot more wiggle room on their admittedly thin depth chart. For a team that relies on Leonard and Walker for so much, having another agile linebacker with a nose for the ball would be such a luxury.
