1. Dak Prescott

Hello, it’s us again urging the Colts to make Dak Prescott their QB of the future next offseason.

As we know, the two-time Pro Bowler failed to agree to terms on an extension with the Dallas Cowboys and will play 2020 under the franchise tag. What’s working in Indianapolis’ favor is that both sides reportedly weren’t close on reaching a compromise and Dallas’ sheer refusal to give into Prescott’s preferred length in terms of years on the contract might resume once negotiations start back up again.

Not only that, but the Colts will presumably be in the market for a quarterback for the second consecutive offseason, as Philip Rivers and Jacoby Brissett are both set to hit free agency.

Indianapolis is clearly a run-first team, so Prescott would be entering a similar role to the one he’s currently excelling in with the Cowboys, who loves to feed running back Ezekiel Elliott 20-plus touches per contest. We truly can’t think off a reason why the Colts shouldn’t sign the former fourth-round pick. It’s a perfect fit, and those don’t come around often.

Plus, don’t you want to keep him away from New England?
