46. Quarterback. AnthonyGordon. Washington State. 3. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The quarterback position for the Indianapolis Colts is a big question mark beyond the 2020 season. Both Rivers and Jacoby Brissett have contracts that expire after 2020, so it’s likely that Ballard selects a signal caller in this draft. In this mock draft, the Colts select Anthony Gordon.

Gordon has a lot of tools as a passer, and put together an excellent 2019 campaign, throwing for 5,579 yards and 48 touchdowns for the Cougars in 13 games. He has the gunslinger mentality, and can make tight window throws along with accurate throws to every level of the field. Gordon can also make plays off-script. He needs to work on limiting turnovers and moving through progressions a tick faster, but the potential is there to develop.

Offensive Linemen. 46. 4. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oregon. ShaneLemieux

We’ve talked briefly about how the Colts could use some depth along the offensive line, especially after Joe Haeg left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a deep tackle class, Chris Ballard could opt to look there, but here, he selects a guard.

Shane Lemieux has played in 52 career games with the Oregon Ducks, and he has the ability to develop into a starter in the NFL. Lemieux is a mauler at the point of attack and can displace defensive linemen with good hand placement. He lacks elite movement skills, but can hold his own in that area. It’s going to be about handling quickness at the next level, but there are traits to work with in Lemieux to warrant the selection.
