Colts 2020 Mock Draft 4.0: Post-combine seven round projection
What will the Indianapolis Colts do come the 2020 NFL Draft? Here’s the latest projection after the scouting combine.
It’s been a wild combine week, especially for the Indianapolis Colts organization, and now the dust has settled. Players made some money throughout the week with great testing performances, while others lost some with tough performances. NFL draft boards across the league shrink that much more as we head into pro day season, where some players will go through their first athletic testing.
Free agency is still on its way, as there are less than two weeks before that frenzy. General manager Chris Ballard will have some things to iron out, especially the Anthony Castonzo deal, and he has to decide if a big move in free agency is the smart move.
We don’t have all of that info just yet to narrow down the needs for the Colts, but there are some that will likely still be prevalent after Ballard makes moves. The quarterback position, even if a veteran is added, still needs to be addressed for the long term. Finding more weapons on the outside is imperative for whoever gets under center to start the 2020 season. Let’s not forget about adding talent along the defensive line, a unit that outperformed expectations in 2019.
The good news is that the Colts have the draft capital to fill those needs. Two picks in the second round give them options, even the potential to move up if they feel the need to do so.
