Indianapolis Colts 2020 Pre-Combine Big Board: Quarterbacks
What does the latest Colts quarterback big board look like before the scouting combine begins?
It is almost time for the on-field drills to begin at the NFL Scouting Combine, and the Indianapolis Colts will have their eyes on all of it. On Thursday, the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends take the field in what should be a fantastic day of testing.
Quarterback is (obviously) an important position for the Colts to scout in the 2020 NFL Draft, as things went for a loop with Andrew Luck’s sudden retirement last August. Jacoby Brissett came in to take over, even signing an extension through the 2020 season. After a disappointing 2019, Indianapolis is looking to upgrade at quarterback.
The Colts currently sit with the 13th overall pick in the 2020 draft, and with two second round picks, they have the capital to potentially move up for a franchise quarterback. However, in his presser earlier this week, general manager Chris Ballard stated he would stick to the board and trust his evaluations, which makes a trade unlikely at this point. Ballard did praise the depth of the quarterback class, so he must believe there are prospects worth selecting in round two and round three.
With all that said, over the next couple of days, Horseshoe Heroes will have pre-combine big boards at the major positions of need out fast and furious. We are excited you are on board during the draft process, which is always a great time. With that said, let’s take a look at the pre-combine big board at the quarterback position, the most important for the Colts this draft season.
