Colts 2020 Mock Draft 3.0: Quarterback, wide receiver addressed early
While offensive tackle doesn’t seem like a need for the Colts, it’s still unclear if Anthony Castonzo will return for this 10th season in Indianapolis. So, having depth at one of the most important positions in football should be a priority as we enter day three of the draft.
Trey Adams continues to get mocked early in the fourth round, and with how well he played in 2019, it may seem confusing. However, Adams had two major injuries in 2017 and 2018 that cost him his season, so the medicals coming up at the combine will be important for him. On film though, his game is impressive. Adams is a powerful tackle at the point of attack and has good pass sets in pass protection.
With Eric Ebron on the way out, it’s important for the Colts to find another tight end for this offense, preferably a pass catcher who works well in space. Harrison Bryant can be that guy. He broke out for FAU in 2019, catching 65 passes for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns. Bryant works well up the seam and laterally as a pass catcher, and also isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty as a blocker. Pairing Bryant with Jack Doyle would allow the Colts to get back running more “12” personnel.
