The Indianapolis Colts need wide receiver help, and with a deep class, they have a lot of great options in the draft. K.J. Hamler is one of them.

It’s no secret that the Indianapolis Colts are in dire need of wide receiver help in the 2020 NFL Draft. T.Y. Hilton has been the man in Indy for eight seasons, registering 1,000 yards in five of them. In 2019, Hilton played in a career low 10 games, dealing with some injuries throughout the year.

Hilton still has plenty in the tank, but the Colts need more help around him. Zach Pascal had a nice year in 2019, but he’s not the true difference maker in the NFL. Indianapolis spent a second round pick to select Parris Campbell in last year’s draft. Campbell can still make an impact with his speed, but he can’t be everything going forward.

Turning to the 2020 NFL Draft is the option for this Colts team, and they are in luck. The 2020 class is as deep as any class in recent memory, with impact players on every day of the draft. Earlier on Horseshoe Heroes, there was a profile on Jerry Jeudy and what he can bring to the table at receiver. Frank Reich wants good separators in his offense who can win quickly in the short and intermediate areas of the field. But, the Colts may opt to pass on Jeudy for a quarterback or some defensive line help.

The good news for the Colts is that they have two picks in the second round to bring talented playmakers to their offense. One of those targets should be Penn State wide receiver K.J. Hamler. Hamler would bring a dynamic presence to this team and presents the skill set Reich will love. Let’s check out his scouting report.
