Both Edgerrin James and Reggie Wayne are finalists for the Hall of Fame, which gets announced tonight at 8. Depending on the decision, their chances could go in different directions.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame will select the class on 2020 tonight at 8pm. At that time, we will learn the fates of two Colts who are finalists for the award. Both Edgerrin James and Reggie Wayne could be inducted, or both could be left out.

James has been a finalist for the last few years, and his chances are running out to get in. This might be his best chance to get in because of the relatively weak first-time nominees. If he doesn’t get in this year, there’s a chance he doesn’t get in at all.

Meanwhile, Wayne is up for the Hall of Fame for the first time. If he doesn’t get in this year, he has plenty of time to get in after this. Overall, he has a weaker case to get in than his former teammate does. But he does have several chances after this year to get in.

I would be very surprised to see both get in this year. If I had to make a guess, I would say that James gets in while Wayne has to wait a few more years to get the nod. It would be very surprising to see neither one of them get in though. One of them has to get the nod.
