It’s a new year, which means new hope for Colts fans. There is a lot to look forward to for the team as this new year turns into next season.

2019 didn’t quite go as planned for the Colts. They weren’t able to accomplish any of their goals, and finished under .500 for the first time since 2017. But now the season is over and fans can officially turn their hopes towards a new year and a new season.

2020 could bring in a lot of changes for an organization that had to deal with a major change this season. Andrew Luck retired before the season started and threw the whole team into disarray. Jacoby Brissett‘s poor play over the second half of the year means they may have another change at that position next season.

Fans can also look for a draft class that will hopefully be stronger than 2019’s. Rock Ya-Sin had a rough go of it at times in his rookie year at cornerback, but should still be solid down the line. Khari Willis was the only other player who really contributed as a rookie.

Free agency is always something fun to look forward to in the offseason, but rarely brings in a bunch of talent for this team. Justin Houston was a fantastic signing last offseason, but was one of only two major signings. The other one, Devin Funchess, played one game as a Colt.

The Colts as a whole should be looking toward this new year as a way to remove the bad taste in their mouth from the 2019 season. This year could be the year for the team to finally make some noise in the playoffs.
