Merry Christmas everybody! This is what every Colts fan has on their wishlist for this very merry holiday.

‘Tis the season to be jolly, so that’s what we will be at Horseshoe Heroes. We won’t focus on the season that has not turned out to be any good. Instead we will look toward the future and some things that Colts fans might get on their wish list this holiday season.

The first thing that most Colts fans want, and very well may get, is a new quarterback. Jacoby Brissett has shown that he is not answer for the future. That answer might come in this year’s draft. A very good Christmas gift would be for Tua Tagovailoa to fall to middle of the first round.

If they don’t have that luxury, another great gift would be a better secondary. They played well on Sunday against the Panthers, but didn’t hold up well late in the season. The defense has to make up for any deficiencies on the offensive side of the ball. That didn’t happen this season.

It is the season of giving, and the Colts have a chance to give their fans some hope for next season. This season is gone and lost. But next year has a chance to give this team some redemption. That hope can be given with prudent offseason moves.

No matter what is on your Colts wish list, you will need to have patience. You can’t be given anything until at least April when the draft rolls around. But that could be the best time of all.
