The Colts have owned Houston on the ground in the last couple of years. The last matchup was the worst performance when they only rushed for 62 yards as a team. But last year during the playoffs, Marlon Mack ran for 132 yards on his own.

Once again, the ground game is going to be very important tonight. Jonathan Williams and Jordan Wilkins will have to take the mantle on the ground. Williams did a great job last week, rushing for 116 yards on 13 carries. It will be interesting to see who gets the most carries between these two.

Without J.J. Watt, the Texans’ front seven is much weaker. They haven’t been able to be consistent enough stopping the run. They are only 12th best at stopping the run. Poor linebacker play has played into that as well, as has a tough early schedule.

The Colts offensive line has done a really good job lately of blocking in the run game. They are opening up massive holes for the backs to run through, and Houston has issues closing those. I would expect the running game to be as solid as it has been. Maybe not as good as last week, but still really good.

The second matchup has to deal with the defensive side of the ball, which has been really good for the Colts so far this season.
