The Colts play in Pittsburgh this week, so the elements will definitely be a factor. Here is what the forecast looks like right now for the game.

Heinz field is an outdoor stadium. It historically has one of the worst fields in the league because the grass is so worn. The weather conditions typically don’t help with that either. But the weather shouldn’t be too bad this weekend, at least in terms of precipitation.

Right now, the forecast is for the game is right around 42 degrees and partly sunny. The good news is that there shouldn’t be any rain for the game. It will still be cold though. That weather bodes well for the Steelers more than it does for the Colts.

The gameplans for either team shouldn’t necessarily be too affected by the weather. The Steelers are used to playing in cold weather outside. The Colts aren’t as soft of a team as they were in the past too. That means they should be able to handle the weather better.

Marlon Mack is a big reason for that. Mack should be able to keep the running game solid in Pittsburgh. The Colts are now a smash-mouth team. They can play in any sort of weather that is thrown at them. But we will really find out if that is true on Sunday.

Ultimately, the weather shouldn’t be too big of a factory in determining who wins this game. Whichever team executes more will end up winning the game, which is how it should be.
