Colts vs. Broncos: Wednesday injury report
By Ryan Stano
The Colts were healthier coming out of the bye week, but still had some players miss the game against the Texans. Here’s the outlook for this week’s game early in the week.
Health has been a big storyline so far this season. The Colts have had to deal with numerous injuries to different players on both sides of the ball. The bye week helped a little bit, but some players were still hurt. But they will be getting a couple of guys back.
Malik Hooker was a full participant in practice today. He has been recovering from a torn meniscus he suffered in week 3 against Oakland. He should be ready to go for this week. Jabaal Sheard was the other full participant, as he is nursing a foot injury.
Several players missed practice today though. Pierre Desir missed it because of his hamstring injury. Carl Davis was out because of a hamstring as well. Grover Stewart was out because of an elbow injury. Rolan Milligan missed because of personal reasons, and T.Y. Hilton missed because of rest.
Clayton Gathers was a limited participant because of rest as well. Kenny Moore was limited because of a knee injury. The entire starting secondary is still banged up, so the Colts want to take as little chances as possible. They want to get healthy.
Parris Campbell returned to practice with his abdominal injury. Same goes for Tyquan Lewis and his ankle. Both former Buckeyes were limited participants, but it’s good to see them back out on the field. They have a chance to play on Sunday.
Hopefully these guys will be healthy enough to play on Sunday. The team hasn’t really gotten to play at full capacity yet this season.
