The Colts won on Sunday, so they kept their lead atop the AFC South. They still share that lead with another team however.

Winning on Sunday was a big step for this Colts team. They were able to handle some adversity and stave off a surging team in the second half. Most importantly, they were able to keep their lead atop the AFC South in this young season. Here is how everyone else did.

The first game of week 3 in the NFL happened on Thursday night. It was an ugly one to watch, but it was beneficial for the Colts because the winless Jaguars beat the Titans 20-7. It was good for Indianapolis because now both teams are 1-2 and a full game behind them in the standings.

Tennessee might be looking at a backward slide from last season, as their offense hasn’t been very effective so far. They face the Falcons, who the Colts just beat, in Atlanta next week. The Jags meanwhile play in Denver to take on a struggling Broncos team.

The team who is tied with the Colts at the top of the division is the Texans. They played the Chargers in L.A. yesterday and did what the Colts could not do; win. They beat the Chargers 27-20 and kept their tie with Indy at 2-1 and 1-0 in the division.

Houston plays the Panthers next week, who actually won without Cam Newton. But there’s a chance everyone in the division will get a win next week, as they all play inferior opponents. That includes Indianapolis, who play the Raiders next week.
