The Colts will be playing their first game against the Titans since beating them to make the playoffs a year ago. These are the top three things I’ll be watching for in this one.

Divisional games are always tough to play. Playing a team twice a year every year gives them familiarity with who you are and what you like to do. It’s always tough to gameplan around that. The Colts have to deal with that coming up on Sunday.

They play a team who was not able to beat them when Andrew Luck was at quarterback. In fact, the Colts are 12-2 in their last 14 against the Titans, with their only two losses coming with Jacoby Brissett as quarterback back in 2017.

That alone will have the Titans extremely motivated to beat the Colts on Sunday. They no longer have their kryptonite playing quarterback against them. But even though Brissett was the losing quarterback in those two losses, this is a much different team than it was in 2017.

Brissett has a much better roster around him. He also has more confidence in his game. He should be able to lead the team to successful drives on offense. Last week, he was very efficient and did what the coaching staff asked of him. This week shouldn’t be any different.

There are three things that I’m watching for in this game on Sunday. If the Colts are able to do these things well, they should walk out of Nashville with a hard-fought win. If they don’t, then they will likely be 0-2 to start the year. The first thing has to do with the Colts’ linebackers.
