Perhaps the biggest takeaway from this year’s camp is the amount of injuries the Colts have to deal with now. Several players came into camp injured, including Jack Doyle, Eric Ebron, Marlon Mack, and Andrew Luck. All of those players are back except for Luck.

Luck’s injury is the biggest question mark facing this team right now. Doctors didn’t know what kind of injury he had until just last week when they finally determined it was something in his high ankle area. But they still don’t know when he is coming back.

Daurice Fountain suffered a season-ending fractured ankle last week during joint practice with the Browns after having a great camp. He had played his way into a job as one of the Colts’ receivers based on how good he was. Now his injury has opened the door for that final receiver spot.

Jabaal Sheard had knee surgery a week into camp and now his start to the season is in question. In fact, it’s more likely than not that he doesn’t start week 1. All of these injuries have added up and have become of great concern to the team as the regular season approaches.
