The Colts are going to have the Browns in for a joint practice for a couple days this week. That could bring out the best in them.

This is the time during training camp where teams start holding some joint practices and scrimmages. The Colts will be doing that this week on Wednesday and Thursday with the Browns. With them coming in, it could bring the best out in the Colts.

When other teams come in, things get more feisty. That could be what the Colts need after a lackluster first preseason game against the Bills. The Browns will play in Indy for a preseason game this weekend as well, so it’s a great warmup to that.

Not only will the competition bring out the best in the Colts, but they are getting people more healthy. The only one who won’t be out there will be Andrew Luck, who will miss both practices with the Browns. He probably won’t play in the preseason game either.

These two practices will show us the most about the roster so far. True first team reps will be given out during the scrimmage. Those two days will allow us to see who is starting at the outside corner spot and the two outside linebacker positions.

We will also get to see if T.Y. Hilton can continue his stellar play through training camp. He has been one of the top performers on the entire team throughout camp so far. Now he goes up against a pretty good corner in Denzel Ward. It should be a lot of fun to watch.

Next. Colts have several players closer to return. dark

We will be out there on Wednesday and Thursday for both practices against the Browns and we will report live via Twitter.
