According to the latest odds from Vegas, the Colts quarterback has the second best odds to win the league MVP.

Andrew Luck has the second best odds to win the MVP right now, according to several Vegas sports books. The most recent one I looked at, FanDuel Sportsbooks, has Luck as a 9/1 odds to win the award, trailing only reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes.

Luck has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league since he entered in 2012. He had the second most touchdown passes in the league last year, trailing only Mahomes. But his weapons have upgraded significantly, so he is expected to have another huge year.

With the additions of Devin Funchess and Parris Campbell, Luck will have more reliable targets to throw to. That means more yards and more touchdowns. He will also get a healthy Jack Doyle back after he missed most of the season with a hip and kidney injury.

Perhaps the most important factor for these odds is that Luck is completely healthy now. His shoulder is no longer a concern, so he can just go out there and play. He is being held out of OTA’s right now because of a calf issue, but that is strictly precautionary.

Next. Colts will keep combine home-field advantage. dark

It would be great if Luck could win the MVP this season. Him playing at that level would mean that the Colts are winning a lot of games. But Luck doesn’t care about individual accolades. He only cares about winning, and that makes him the true MVP.
