Upgrading the wide receiving corp was a priority in the offseason. The Colts had issues last season with consistency from that position. They were top five in the league in dropped passes. Now one of those receivers is at risk because of that.

Chester Rogers has to be very worried about his prospects of staying on this team past preseason. The Colts brought in Devin Funchess via free agency and Parris Campbell via the draft to help out that position group. Those two guys figure to get a lot of playing time.

Campbell’s addition really puts a damper on Rogers’ ability to make the team. Campbell will likely see a lot of snaps in the slot. That is where Rogers plays most of his snaps. They also decided to keep Marcus Johnson in the offseason and Deon Cain comes back, which hurts as well.

The biggest reason Rogers might have an issue staying on the team is how badly he played in the first half of last season. He dropped a number of key passes early in the season that killed the offense and hurt the team’s chances to win.

Rogers might stay on the team as an extreme backup slot guy, but his dismissal wouldn’t be shocking either. The same can be said for the last player on this list.
