The Colts drafted seven defensive players, and some of those were on the defensive line. Grover Stewart might be sweating a little bit based on how the team has stacked up the defensive line. His job could be in jeopardy unless he has a really good camp.

Stewart is only in his third year, bu the competition has ramped up very quickly for him. The Colts added Justin Houston, Gerri Green, and Ben Banogu this offseason. All can play the defensive line, and that doesn’t include the additions of Tyquan Lewis, Kemoko Turay, and Denico Autry last year.

With all of those players on the defensive line, it’s hard for Stewart to figure in the equation. He did have 23 tackles a season ago, but has yet to record a sack in his career. With so many other players vying for a spot in the rotation, that could be a problem.

If Stewart isn’t able to generate a pass rush from the defensive tackle spot, he might need to find himself a new job. Most of the defensive line can both stop the run and rush the passer. The more versatile the player is, the better.

The next player on the list has shown flashes, but hasn’t been consistent enough to guarantee his job safety.
