Brown is one of the most productive receivers in the draft, having totaled over 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons at Ole Miss. He has the talent and the size that the Colts covet, as well as the college level production in a big-time conference.

Receiver is still the biggest need for the Colts. They still need more guys that they can count on to catch the ball in crucial situations. Brown gives them that guy to go alongside T.Y. Hilton. If the Colts don’t like what Devin Funchess does this year, Brown could slide into that number two spot.

The Colts have gotten burned recently with taking wide receivers too high, most recently with Phillip Dorsett in 2015. But that was a year in which wide receiver was not a need. This year, they need one and they actually have a good GM who knows what he is doing.

Brown should still be available at the 26th spot because most other teams are enamored with the physical tools of his teammate D.K. Metcalf. I think Brown is either the second or third best receiver in the draft, and I think he’ll be better than Metcalf.

If the Colts decide to not go with a wide receiver with their first round pick, they should use it on their second biggest need, which is safety. That’s where the next guy on this list comes in.
